MOKIRE
Terms of service.
The ground rules for reading, sharing, and using Mokire’s travel guides.
Last updated:
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of mokire.com and its articles, routes, photographs, and browser-based planning tools. “Mokire,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to this publication and the team responsible for the website.
By using the website, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using it. For questions, contact hello@mokire.com. Our Privacy policy explains information handling; accepting these terms does not replace any separate consent that may be required.
2. Travel information and your decisions
Guides provide general editorial information, not a reservation, guaranteed itinerary, professional consultation, or promise that a place or service will be available. Prices, opening hours, timetables, entry requirements, reservation steps, and local conditions can change after a guide is checked.
Confirm consequential details directly with operators, venues, and relevant authorities before paying or setting out. Consider current travel advisories, visa and passport requirements, weather, safety, health, insurance, and your own mobility needs. A suggested walk is not a guarantee of accessibility or a substitute for local signs and instructions. Content is not individualized legal, medical, immigration, or financial advice.
3. Sources, bylines, and examples
Our editorial policy explains our research and fixed editorial pen names. First-person passages express a column’s perspective; they do not by themselves establish that a writer visited a place. Published traveler experiences remain attributed to their sources, and planning examples should not be treated as bookings or guided tours.
Photographs have separate credits and licenses. A photograph does not establish that a Mokire writer took it or that current conditions match the image. If a detail appears wrong or out of date, send us the page address and a reliable source for review.
4. Copyright and permitted use
You may read our articles, share links, and save or print reasonable portions for personal travel planning. Original writing, design, and other site material belong to Mokire or their respective rights holders. Quotation, fair use, fair dealing, and other rights available under applicable law are not restricted by these terms.
Please obtain permission before commercially republishing substantial portions of our original work or presenting it as your own. Do not remove attribution or imply that Mokire endorses your service. Third-party photographs and fonts keep their own license terms; see Photography credits. Permission to read an article does not grant unrestricted rights to its photographs.
5. Acceptable use
Use the site lawfully and respect other readers, rights holders, and the communities described in our guides.
- Do not attempt unauthorized access, bypass security controls, introduce malware, or disrupt the website or its delivery network.
- Do not use published contact details for harassment, spam, impersonation, or sending unlawful material.
- Do not collect data through activity that interferes with the service or infringes applicable rights. Ordinary linking and lawful search-engine indexing are not prohibited by these terms.
- Follow local rules, admission conditions, and safety instructions when using a suggested route. A guide does not authorize trespass or entry into restricted or private spaces.
6. Planning tools and contacting us
Saved guides and checklist selections are convenience features stored in the browser you use. They can disappear when site data is cleared or storage becomes unavailable, and they do not synchronize through a Mokire account. Keep tickets, confirmations, and essential travel details separately.
The Contact page form currently demonstrates a confirmation screen only. Clicking “Send Message” does not deliver an inquiry, even when the preview says “Message Received.” Send actual questions and requests directly to hello@mokire.com. We cannot guarantee a response time or individualized itinerary support.
7. External links, bookings, and purchases
Mokire does not act as a travel agent, take reservations, process payments, or enter into travel contracts for you. Linked transport operators, hotels, attractions, and other providers set their own prices, availability, cancellation rules, and service terms.
Any purchase or booking is between you and that provider. Direct payment, refund, or service questions to them. Links are offered as references, not a guarantee of the third party’s content or performance. Check the destination website’s identity, privacy notice, and terms before sharing information or paying.
8. Advertising and commercial relationships
This edition of Mokire contains no display advertising, affiliate links, or paid editorial placements. If these are introduced, advertising and relevant commercial relationships will be identified clearly. An advertisement or affiliate link will not make Mokire the provider of the advertised service.
Any resulting data use will be described in our Privacy policy, with consent or opt-out choices where required. A commercial relationship does not remove the need to verify practical travel information independently.
9. Messages, corrections, and submissions
Only send material that you have the right to share. Avoid confidential documents and other people’s personal information unless necessary and authorized. Sending a correction or story idea allows us to review it and respond; it does not transfer ownership of your work or give us an unrestricted right to publish your message, name, or photographs.
We may use factual corrections to improve our guides. If we wish to publish a submitted quotation, image, or personal account, we will seek appropriate permission. Sending an idea does not create an employment, commission, payment, or publication agreement.
10. Availability and responsibility
We aim to keep the journal useful and accurate, but cannot guarantee that every detail is complete or current, that the website is always available, or that files and services are free from every error. To the extent permitted by law, the site is provided “as is” and “as available” without additional warranties.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Mokire is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, this free publication. This does not exclude responsibility that the law does not allow us to exclude, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence where protected, or mandatory consumer rights. This section does not make you responsible for our unlawful conduct.
11. Rights concerns and disputes
For a copyright, privacy, or accuracy concern, email hello@mokire.com with the relevant page URL, the issue, your contact details, and information supporting your request. A rights complaint should identify the work and your authority to act. We will review the concern and may correct, restrict, or remove material where appropriate.
We encourage direct contact to resolve concerns, but these terms do not prevent you from contacting a regulator or using courts or remedies available under applicable law. Mandatory protections in your place of residence remain applicable where the law provides them. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or an exclusive foreign court.
12. Changes and contact
We may update content, features, and these terms. The date above identifies the current version, and any material change will receive notice as required by applicable law. Changes do not retroactively remove rights that have already arisen. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
For questions about these terms, permissions, or the journal, write to hello@mokire.com. For information-related requests, see our Privacy policy.
